ICSE Board Syllabus for History

The main aim behind introducing the ICSE Board Syllabus for History by ICSE board is to develop a world historical prospective of the contribution made by various cultures to the total heritage of mankind among the students. The ICSE History Syllabus of class 9th and 10th is divided among two parts. Part 1 consists of compulsory short answer type questions. Part 2 of ICSE History Syllabus is further divided into two sections. Section A consists of the syllabus from Civics and Section B consists of the syllabus from History. Part 1 of ICSE Board Syllabus for History is of 30 marks and Part 2 is of 50 marks. There is internal assignment of 20marks. The topics included in ICSE History syllabus are Reconstruction the past, Emergence of Empires, The Harappan Civilization, The medieval world, modern age of Europe etc. ICSE conducts the examination of class 9th and 10th on the other hand ISC conducts the examination of class 11th and 12th. Both come under CISCE boards. The ICSE History syllabus for class 11th and 12th consists of part 1 and part 2.
Part 1 include compulsory question of 20 marks and part 2 consists of 80 marks which is further divided into two sections. Section A and Section B. Section A of ICSE History Syllabus includes Indian History in class 11th and Modern Indian History in class 12th whereas, Section B included the aspects of world History in class 11th and Aspects of world History in 20th century in class 12th.
