ICSE Board Syllabus for Chemistry

Chemistry comes in Science category. ICSE takes spate paper for Chemistry. ICSE Board Syllabus for Chemistry of class 9th and 10th includes two sections. Each section contains 40 marks and the duration to complete the paper is one and a half hours. ICSE Chemistry Syllabus also has assessment of practical work carrying 20 marks. Section one contains compulsory short answers type questions. In section two of ICSE Board syllabus of Chemistry contains six questions out of which candidates are required to do four questions. Some of the topics that are included in class 9th and 10th in the ICSE Chemistry Syllabus are Law of conservation of mass, Elements, compounds and mixture, Study of gas laws, Physical and chemical changes etc. Some of the topics included in ICSE Chemistry Syllabus for class 10th are Study of Acids, Bases and Salts, Chemical Bonding, Analytical Chemistry, Mole concept and Stoichiometry, Metallurgy, Electrolysis, Nitric Acid, Study of Compounds, Organic Chemistry etc. Likewise, for class 11th and 12th, the exams conducted by ISC. Both ISC and ICSE come under CISCE Board. The ICSE Board Syllabus for Chemistry has two papers. Paper 1 is a theoretical paper consists of 70 marks and duration of 3 hours.
The paper 2 of ICSE Chemistry Syllabus consists of a practical work of 20 marks and the duration is 3 hours.
